SOMETIMES IT KINDA SUCKS because you find these really good designs all over the place but you can’t really incorporate the cool parts in because they… look wrong when i do them. like i really love notzilon’s aradia and owlpellets’ sollux but i just can’t do it, i can’t draw them that way even though i like them better than my own at times (especially other people’s aradias).

also i noticed recently that my vriska looks a whole lot like your sollux? i’m just going to direct anyone wondering what yellow vriska’s ancestor looks like to you if that’s ok

i try not to post a ton of reblogs here because it’s supposed to be mainly a tumblr for my personal work? also i follow a ton of artists so if i reblogged every nice thing that came up, it wouldn’t be me and my bad decisions: the blog, it would be my entire dash and people that they follow: the blog.

i have no idea whether it’s intentional or not, but once i noticed it i couldn’t see it any other way. but the question is, even if it was an accident, why would you want to see it any other way?? it makes him look kind of like a biker dude who owns 5000 motorcycles, like he has an entire floor of his warship dedicated to motorcycles and touching them is a crime punishable by death and eternal damnation.

Yeah I dunno. They look like they have solid forms in canon but I can’t really wrap my head around how that would look in real life? I’m not gonna lie though I pretty much only did it because it felt like a good excuse to draw a translucent body showing a skeleton on the inside because I think it’s super cool. Fanart of the sprites generally seems to be very high quality stuff so I don’t really mind how anyone draws them.

ALSO Pleg’s sprites are the neatest things. I might try doing them this way but man I’d fuck it up so hard.
