no. a codpiece is armor for your crotch, it isn’t just a thing you put on over your pants to make your dick look bigger. and it will be kept the way it is in homestuck prime, because ridiculous codpieces are a lot funnier than lingerie and i don’t want like, real gratuitous fanservice in my au. it’s not going to happen ever sorry. if kanaya ever gets anything remotely similar to a bustier, it will not be a bustier, it will be a legit breastplate as part of a complete nonsexy suit of armor that is sturdy and reliable yet fashionable. trolls all have the same genitals anyway so if the guys have a thing like that (they dont) so would the girls.

i don’t think they would recognise it as genitals, just as a weird oblong thing that is very fun to bother other people with. provided a) kanaya ascends and b) pieces of god tier costumes can be alchemized, at one point they will probably make hundreds of copies of it and flood somebody’s room with them.

They became friends last time I played when I sent them both down into a tomb to defuse a bunch of traps. Karkat got knocked out because I accidentally led him into a dart trap and Sollux pointed and laughed at him and did that stupid happy dance, and then when Karkat woke up he walked over and gave him a potato. Karkat thought it was very nice of him.

I’m not very knowledgeable about eyes. They’re neat organs but ophthalmology just isn’t my deal. I will answer this but, you know, keep that in mind.

I draw him with cataracts so in that case he can’t see normally anyway and probably wouldn’t have any use for corrective lenses. The lenses would be coloured to match the eye either to make his odd eye colour harder to notice or because he thought they looked cool (even though they don’t lmao) or maybe a bit of both. It’s the same deal as Terezi, although Terezi shouldn’t have red eyes anyway because the only damage would be on her retinas dhdfjsf. With prolonged, repeated exposure to the sun over years you can get cataracts and even skin forming over the eye, but that’s probably not going to happen if she just did it once. I GUESS she could have cataracts if she stared so long that it heated up the lens proteins and denatured them, but I’m not sure if that can happen?? Her pupils would just be weird, they wouldn’t constrict or dilate in response to light but might be hyperdilated to try to let light shine onto undamaged parts of the retina (they will still work for emotional responses though, and they will constrict/dilate together—the crazy pupils deal where one pupil is bigger than the other happens with pressure problems in the eye or nerve damage). But that’s tangential we’re not supposed to be talking about Terezi.

IF THERE AREN’T ANY CATARACTS/OTHER THINGS BLOCKING LIGHT FROM ENTERING THE EYE NORMALLY, so he does have pupils and they just aren’t on the sprite because idk, yeah sure they could be corrective

The best answer I can come up with at 3 in the morning is that they are hypersensitive to some wavelengths of light so filtering those out before they reach the eye results in better vision/less pain/whatever. Blue eye can’t handle blue, red eye can’t handle red. The migraines stopped after Eridan blinded him so it at least stands to reason his eyes were a big part of the problem there. Also just in general if you’re wearing lenses like that they fuck up your colour perception so he wouldn’t be able to see yellow or green very well unless he took them off, and those old 3D red/blue glasses are hell to wear because of the eye strain they cause, so there has to be something good the coloured lenses do aside from looking cool if he is willing to wear them all the time and take those hits.

I guess this also raises the question as to why they would even have colour vision if they are nocturnal and spend the beginning of their lives in caverns. Might be a sexual selection thing, or their ancestral species were diurnal? idk what i am even writing about anymore it’s too late why am i even publishing this

I noticed, but I’d decided he was the Rogue of Void like 9 months ago as well as what he could do with that title. Holy shit this AU is old. I think most of what he is actually good for is crawling around in small spaces such as an overhead air duct, which I believe is a Rogueish sort of thing to do, and he is hidden in that case, so it is also a Voidy thing to do. Much like Sollux, who is the Thief and may be used like a pipecleaner to achieve similar results in small cramped spaces.

Feferi as the Mage of Light may also be very similar to Rose because I think the Mage is probably the active counterpart to the Seer class.

If it turns out Rogue is a female-only class and they wear overtly feminine clothes I will also still use the proper cut, I literally could not care less about the gender barriers (see: this).
