stoicsilence said: i didnt even know playing volus was an option

you can play as any race nowadays except for hanar and elcor, and that includes stuff like a collector and EDI. voluses are basically gimmicky medics but they are pretty great.

the main draw of the game is that it’s janky and broken in hilarious ways (ex. cerberus troops running upside down across the sky) but it’s also pretty fun in its own right

everyone should play mass effect multi w/ me

Does corvus have any... ships? (◕‿◕✿)

Kind of but they don’t feature heavily, despite being set in a port city. THIS IS ACTUALLY TRUE REGARDLESS OF WHAT KIND OF SHIP YOU MEANT

Re: romance I remember blathering to unfortunate people on skype about that a week ago or something. Over the years I’ve considered giving the main character a love interest but it’s just never happened, and she isn’t really at a point in her life where she’d even want a relationship complicating things, for uh, a lot of different reasons. She’s had at least one guy in the past she broke up with and one guy she had a crush on that was initially requited but not after she tried to impress him with an unfortunate kind of bycatch. “Reads the weird stuff” is a thing I put in the character sheet at some point.

Other than her there are people who are married and stuff but only one of them is an actual character and the other is just a periphery (or whose defining characteristic is how dead they are). There is only one pair who are both important but they’re really bitter, middle-aged recent exes who spend a lot of effort trying to avoid each other, and probably spend a lot of time crying in private about it.

Sometimes I think the pigeon mail guy and the heron mail girl should hold hands though. I associate everybody with types of bird. When considering potential relationships I think about whether one of them would eat the other. Would herons ever eat pigeons? Pelicans eat pigeons, there are a disturbing about of youtube videos showing that, but I don’t know about herons

Any progress on Fire Emblem?

I’ve dropped like 75 hours into it lmao. Most of that is grinding for supports and levelling up characters I benched earlier so that their kids can destroy things & inherit Galeforce. I’m on chapter 21 and still missing Inigo, Laurent, Panne’s kid (I don’t remember his name) and Brady. I can get them but one of their parents are still bad units so I won’t let myself yet.

I technically got Brady but restarted because Maribelle was really underleveled. He also inherited Desmoiselle which is really hilarious but it’s kind of a shitty skill so I couldn’t let him keep it. Sometimes I go back to that save and giggle a bit at it though.

Best pair is Lissa and Gaius, Cynthia is the best kid. Gaius and Severa are also unstoppable gods, and Chrom makes me mad because he just sucks so much and never gets more than 2 stats up per level but I need to use him in every chapter regardless of his suckage. He is a level 17 Great Lord and he only has 27 Str?? Fucking bullshit.

mechanized said: i think your sidebar itself might be a bit too long for some screens, because it cuts off right after “theme” for me and i can’t see the navigation at all.

haha, that explains why there’s been a lot of people on statcounter who seem to want to browse the blog but they never go past page 1…

i cut down some of the wordswordswords and made the navigation bigger, can you see it now?

Either is ok, her lipstick is whatever colour I feel like at the moment. Most people have more than one colour of lipstick anyway…

WV hands down, it has never been anyone but WV

Anonymous asked you: Have you ever changed your troll designs? Is there anything you would do differently now?

Sollux used to have something approaching an average male body type. My first drawings of him are hilarious to me because he has square shoulders and a neck that doesn’t look like a golf tee. Somewhere down the line I guess he acquired tuberculosis and a few tapeworms for good measure. Vriska used to be more attractive, Aradia and Eridan were thinner, Tavros was taller, Nepeta wasn’t as muscular, Kanaya had hair that made more sense. Feferi’s eyes have gradually drifted apart over time. Karkat and Gamzee have remained exactly the same, I just draw better now.

I wouldn’t change anything because it’s how I see them. If I was just coming into the fandom I’d probably have taken a lot of design cues from Notzilon though ngl. Karkat and Sollux would still be my Karkat and Sollux. Gamzee would have looked like Aradia and Aradia’s face would have looked like one of the mail people from corvus, except not perpetually worried

Maybe you should actually try playing the game, or at least watch a full playthrough before calling it out :I

I am not “calling it out,” I was asked a question about the game and I explained why it’s not something I want to play, and why I’m not going to talk about or draw it in the future. Even character designs I really like, like the Luteces, Songbird, or even Elizabeth (early game). I don’t care if other people like it in spite of that or if they did not feel skeeved out at all; you guys are allowed to like games I don’t want to play. My opinion means literally nothing, especially for anything I haven’t actually witnessed firsthand. But I don’t think this is something I cannot say on my own personal blog when I was prompted to do so.

I have looked through a lot of the concept art, I’ve read interviews with the creator, I’ve seen the beta footage and a lot of the plot important cutscenes on youtube. I know the ending and pretty much every spoiler. I’m still not going to play it because I cannot, personally, get over a hurdle that makes me, personally, uncomfortable, and I don’t judge anyone who does not feel the same way about it, because I know a majority don’t. It might be a great game, or even a perfect game, but I don’t need to give it a chance to say why I don’t want to give it a chance. Can we agree to disagree?

bombcollar replied to your post: Have you played Bioshock Infinite?

also this is really spoiler so maybe you shoud… tag it… please…

Sorry, I didn’t know it was a spoiler. I see posts and articles about it all the time that casually reveal this as if it was something you are told near the beginning of the game without spoiler warnings, so I didn’t know it was a big deal. It is tagged with #bioshock infinite spoilers now, so I hope that erases it off the dashes of people who don’t want to see.

Have you played Bioshock Infinite?

No and I’m probably not ever going to play it because it really, really skeeves me out that Elizabeth is obviously meant to be considered sexycute, wears her dead mother’s cleavage-bearing underwear to remember her by, and the first-person player character is her father. It makes me super uncomfortable and I don’t think I want to get over this hurdle so I am just not going to touch this game, ever, sorry.

I did like the original Bioshock a whole lot though.
