there isn’t really much to say about him though, just that there’s no way you could come out totally unscathed from an escaped alternian slave origin story (the escaping part likely required more than one attempt).

i guess he was about the equivalent age of 10-12 when he met karkat’s ancestor, who was about the same age? they were more or less adopted siblings, the dolorosa became like a mother to him too. until they met the disciple a few sweeps later they were dirt poor vagrants, life was hard, and it was the greatest fucking thing because no matter how bad it got he had a family and there wasn’t anyone hovering above him that would crush his hands at the smallest sign of resistance.
