I actually… really hate that fading effect lmao, I don’t see a point in rendering your posts nearly illegible until mouseover unless it’s to deliberately annoy people who browse your tumblr. It’s like using those fly in and twirling animations on powerpoint. Since my posts are usually either art or really wordy, I think it’s a really bad idea to use any unnecessary effects because I want people to be able to see what I’m doing.

I’ll find a way to close those gaps, tomorrow when it’s not 3am.

It’s not so much that as it is that when they DO warm up there won’t be any food and they’ll starve, which is apparently what’s happening with deer around here. They’re probably not in as much trouble as other animals that freeze because they hoard massive amounts of sugar to use as both a cryoprotectant and an energy source while others tend to use urea (which is a better cryoprotectant, but also kind of toxic). Depends if there’s a lot of overwintering bugs dying off I guess.

If they do die off it’s kind of payback for the last few years when there were huge swarms of them, haha.
