i’ve been reading about it. it seems like all the arkh project really is is some character drawings and the idea to make a video game that prominently features queer and POC characters

the problem with this project is that none of them seem to know anything about game design and they are asking for money before they have any design documents to show, only concept sketches and some notes about the characters (which are old and outdated). their heart might be in the right place but i’ve got a sinking feeling it’s going to fall apart from inexperience and disorganisation, and from what i can tell they seem to be setting their sights a bit too high for a small ragtag group of volunteers doing this in their free time (plus some hired muscle). it’s a bit worrying that the only thing that they really have to show is concept art of the main characters but no details about gameplay or worldbuilding—all that’s been posted is an idea in the early embryonic stages of development. if there is more they need to show it! even if it contains spoilers! because there are people donating their money to this and they deserve to know for certain that this game is actually going to happen.

i hope the dev team is going to prove me wrong but it’s just. way too early to tell if arkh is going to go places. way too early to be asking for money.
