There’s no conclusion about what causes it. There isn’t actually any lasting tissue damage either, just inflammation that fades eventually. Very mysterious! It’s too bad these don’t last forever, they are so neat :C If it ever happened to me I’d be tracing over the marks and getting the fuck over to a tattoo parlor as soon as possible.
