Anonymous ; it seems to be too short for people with 768 pixels of height. three lines less should suffice
how about now?? i have a big screen and the customise thing doesn’t even show the navigation or format the description properly so i can’t tell if it looks as it should or not
i’m sorry everyone for clogging your dash with LAYOUT PROBLEMS i will delete these soon. thank you to everyone helping me tho <:
mechanized said: i think your sidebar itself might be a bit too long for some screens, because it cuts off right after “theme” for me and i can’t see the navigation at all.
haha, that explains why there’s been a lot of people on statcounter who seem to want to browse the blog but they never go past page 1…
i cut down some of the wordswordswords and made the navigation bigger, can you see it now?
Anonymous ; sock does your new theme have forward/back buttons because if so i can't find them ;-;

it does at the very bottom, the text on the sidebar is just very small so i see how it can be missed. i will try to make it more obvious <:
vwcarmats said: walleyed feferi makes a weird kind of sense to me
well i guess that could be one reason why she wears those glasses, maybe she is like kitty from arrested development without them
or maybe they are just trying to escape from her face entirely

Anonymous asked you: does derpbent aradia wear black lipstick or purple lipstick with her regular attire (the one with the v neck sweater dress)?
Either is ok, her lipstick is whatever colour I feel like at the moment. Most people have more than one colour of lipstick anyway…
Anonymous asked you: whos your favorite homestuck char
WV hands down, it has never been anyone but WV
Anonymous asked you: Have you ever changed your troll designs? Is there anything you would do differently now?
Sollux used to have something approaching an average male body type. My first drawings of him are hilarious to me because he has square shoulders and a neck that doesn’t look like a golf tee. Somewhere down the line I guess he acquired tuberculosis and a few tapeworms for good measure. Vriska used to be more attractive, Aradia and Eridan were thinner, Tavros was taller, Nepeta wasn’t as muscular, Kanaya had hair that made more sense. Feferi’s eyes have gradually drifted apart over time. Karkat and Gamzee have remained exactly the same, I just draw better now.
I wouldn’t change anything because it’s how I see them. If I was just coming into the fandom I’d probably have taken a lot of design cues from Notzilon though ngl. Karkat and Sollux would still be my Karkat and Sollux. Gamzee would have looked like Aradia and Aradia’s face would have looked like one of the mail people from corvus, except not perpetually worried

Anonymous ; Maybe you should actually try playing the game, or at least watch a full playthrough before calling it out :I
I am not “calling it out,” I was asked a question about the game and I explained why it’s not something I want to play, and why I’m not going to talk about or draw it in the future. Even character designs I really like, like the Luteces, Songbird, or even Elizabeth (early game). I don’t care if other people like it in spite of that or if they did not feel skeeved out at all; you guys are allowed to like games I don’t want to play. My opinion means literally nothing, especially for anything I haven’t actually witnessed firsthand. But I don’t think this is something I cannot say on my own personal blog when I was prompted to do so.
I have looked through a lot of the concept art, I’ve read interviews with the creator, I’ve seen the beta footage and a lot of the plot important cutscenes on youtube. I know the ending and pretty much every spoiler. I’m still not going to play it because I cannot, personally, get over a hurdle that makes me, personally, uncomfortable, and I don’t judge anyone who does not feel the same way about it, because I know a majority don’t. It might be a great game, or even a perfect game, but I don’t need to give it a chance to say why I don’t want to give it a chance. Can we agree to disagree?
bombcollar replied to your post: Have you played Bioshock Infinite?
also this is really spoiler so maybe you shoud… tag it… please…
Sorry, I didn’t know it was a spoiler. I see posts and articles about it all the time that casually reveal this as if it was something you are told near the beginning of the game without spoiler warnings, so I didn’t know it was a big deal. It is tagged with #bioshock infinite spoilers now, so I hope that erases it off the dashes of people who don’t want to see.
Anonymous ; Have you played Bioshock Infinite?
No and I’m probably not ever going to play it because it really, really skeeves me out that Elizabeth is obviously meant to be considered sexycute, wears her dead mother’s cleavage-bearing underwear to remember her by, and the first-person player character is her father. It makes me super uncomfortable and I don’t think I want to get over this hurdle so I am just not going to touch this game, ever, sorry.
I did like the original Bioshock a whole lot though.
thelibrandy ; What's Aradia's weapon of choice? And is she more or less lucid than Gamzee?
Aradia knows how to use batons, maces and multi-tailed whips. I associate her the most with blackjacks and tonfa, and her ancestor is more about the cat-o-nine-tails than she is (it’s also a lot harder to kill somebody with a weapon like that so it’s not really practical for her to use as her main…).
She is completely lucid, and not like Gamzee at all, sober or otherwise. Um, I’m not sure where I put my formspring files so I cannot directly quote them right now, but the short of it is she is pretty content with her caste and wouldn’t ever try to run away from it like Gamzee did. imo he only seemed to understand that his ancestor was a bad person and didn’t want to be that way, so he got his religion and his slime and he was fine being stuck in a drug-induced haze until Dave made him realise his entire worldview was a load of crap. He’s a coward and a ticking time bomb. Aradia on the other hand is very stable, slightly detached, an observer. She didn’t try to fight her fate, or the fate of anyone else, because she believed it was unchangeable. As an indigoblood, she knows a lot more of her bloodline, their practices, and her ‘duty’ as the descendant of one of the most feared, respected and maligned people in history. She would probably be much more dangerous than Gamzee could ever hope to be, should she ever decide a total party kill is for the greater good, because she is disciplined, unemotional, and is completely, genuinely delighted by chaos. Aradia would have made her dad proud.
Not to say she is a bad person, because she’s not. She’s friendly, intelligent, good and loyal to her friends. She’ll put her life down on the line for you and for ideals she believes to be important and good. You just shouldn’t fuck with anything she wants to protect.
In canon I think Gamzee and Aradia kind of melded together after Act 5.2 or traded their positions on things after he became a madman and she became a god. I think that they had a lot of duality going on but I’m not sure if Hussie actually intended it.

thelibrandy asked you: May I have a full reference of your derpbent! Kanaya and Aradia, plz!!!! I would like to see their outfits so I can better cosplay them~~~ Thank you so much!
The thing with Kanaya is that she never wears the exact same thing twice and I have a lot of clothes stockpiled for use. These three are just the one I like the most, the one you see her in first (I’m gonna edit the first pages and retcon it to look like this), and a non-sari example. So you can do pretty much anything as long as:
Fabric patterned with simple plant/flower-type designs are also good, as long as they’re relatively subtle and she’s not like, completely covered in hideous clashing Hawaiian prints. (That’s someone else’s job.) I think that whatever designs—like her symbol, which I try to keep subtle for her—you must put on yourself, stitching/embroidering is really the best way to go. Try to avoid iron-on stuff if at all possible for Kanaya. She is a competent craftsman, and she makes her own clothes; it strikes me as out of character if she’s got iron-on stuff because she takes a lot of pride in her work. I understand if it is too time-consuming or difficult to do for a cosplay though.
Most of her dresses are saris. She doesn’t wear them exclusively, but she does a lot. Saris are actually just one gigantic, continuous piece of fabric that is pleated and draped over the shoulder. It sounds like a fairly easy costume to make, but looks can be deceiving. I think that you might have your work cut out for you with Kanaya, she is probably the most difficult character. Best of luck.
As for Aradia: she is extremely simple in comparison. She has a long dark grey v-neck sweater, black leggings, thigh-high socks, and black shoes. Her symbol is easily visible and iron-on is ok. There is nothing special going on at the back and her design is symmetrical.
The first one in this line up really tells you all you need to know about her main clothes. If you’re gonna put in extra effort, which you don’t really need to do since she doesn’t wear this super often, this is her war paint.
